CREATING THE TOWER OF ANGELS By Marcin Radoslav Kurcewski Narrated by Shadow Guard.

Step 4 - The Tower takes shape: A little texturing and cleaning up and Radoslav sent me this image (I). A lot of the work is done and we felt it was time for feed back from the community at the B+C chat board. A lot of suggestions came our way and I added my ideas to them in the form of the image on the right (J). We felt the bottom of the rock should be roughened to depict it being pulled apart from the planet Caliban. lance batteries, fre control bunkers, defense batteries and shield generators along with thunderhawk launch bays and torpedo tubes were some of the suggestions. I also added approximate sizes of strike cruisers and emperor class battleships for reference.

Step 6 - Tower of Angels: Radoslav continued to work his magic here. A final out post structure was addded on to the large crater to resemble defense fortifications. A planetary backdrop, a rising star sun and stas in the background finalized this master piece. I was very much honoured to have been a part of this project though the Lion's share was obviously done by the master artisan Radoslav. His talent and resourcefullness have provided this web site with a most unique front page. In the memory of the Lion, it shall forever grace the front pages and our memories!

Step 5 - Finishing touches: It was around this time that I discovered an image in Inferno Magazine # 1.(K) The concept was pretty much close to what we had come up with and we were elated. Radosla rapidly sent in the updated images. First the texturing of the rock and the under surface were done (L), then one (M) and later two (N) launch bays were added to the underside. Finally a large crater on the upper surface and a strike cruiser exiting the launch bay for scale were added.(O)
