MAIL BAG E-MAIL COMMENTS

Creating and maintaining this website is indeed a tedious if not enjoyable task. I have passionately involved myself in every section of this web site and hope that passion and dedication shows in the end product. Apart from the sheer enjoyment of creating something new with a personal touch, one of the most rewarding features is the feedback some of the hobbyists and gamers send me. Some of these come in the way of comments in the guest book, while others are emailed to me directly.

I am most grateful to those who have showered words of encouragements in difficult times and I appreciate the kindness shown in most emails. Gathered here within this section are the accumulated words of encouragement and kindness that the Fortrress of the Unforgiven has received from visiting battle brothers. While all such feedback comments are immensely appreciated I particularly treasure the comment from a few special people such as close friends and those involved in the Games Development. Such emails, that are of special significance to me are highlighted with a miniature version of the
Shield of Appreciation
medal.

Shield of Appreciation
SSgt Richard Fauhaber 06 June 2002

Thanks for the quick reply back.   When I get a camera, I will be more than happy to send pictures of my DA Battle Companies in all their glory to you. Hopefully by the time I get a camera, I will have finished repainting my Deathwing.
My DA are my first and only 40K force. I began playing them for the awesome in-depth background, and kept playing them for the background even when everyone was complaining about them being broke and screwed up. I have four fantasy armies, but only one 40K army has every given me the pleasure of defeating the Emperor's foe's, like my Dark Angels.
Again thanks for the incredible Dark Angel site. For awhile I was thinking we are not only the Unforgiven, the the forgotten also. Now the Emperor's 1st and finest Chapter has a voice.

Fantastic site.  The best 40K "themed" sight I've seen.  Looks cool, easy to navigate and great info.  Thanks...

Dear Sir,
I have looked at your site and it is fantastic, I have been collecting Warhammer 40,000 for a while now and i was looking on the Forgeworld website and I came across the Land Raider Prometheus conversion kit.  I have to admit I collect Ultramarines but looking at your site made me want to sell all my characters and paint my men green.
Anyway my question was I was interested in the rules for the Land Raider Promethus and I cant find them anywhere are there any websites I can visit?  Also if you did know any sites containing Ultramarines information 1/10 as good as yours i would be very very happy. Dawm I wish I had collected Dark Angels.

Yours Faithfully
Robert Graham

Grand master,

I'm pleased to have stumbled upon other members of our glorious chapter.Till today I was roaming the galaxy with my own little strikeforce, ignorant of the excistence of our beloved home "the rock".I'll be a regular visitor of this fortress,to reinforce the mind.I'd even love to make contributions to this stronghold in such a hostile galaxy.I've recently won a competition with my scouts-a painting competition in the most known store in Belgium-But my problem is the absence of standard template constructs for processing the images. As soon as I solve this little problem I'll recontact you.

Thanks for the website - it's really inspiring.  My son's interest has introduced me to the Warhammer hobby.  I am working on my own space marine chapter, but all your information about the Dark Angels has inspired me to work on a "known" formation while developing (and sculpting) my own chaps.

A while ago I found a site that contained a generator or list of Dark Angel names.  Does this ring a bell with you?  I would appreciate any information that you might have. If the site is listed on yours, please accept my apologies while you answer the question.

Many thanks again,

Robert

Hi
I would just like to compliment you on your site. It's fantastic. It is by far one of the best 40K related sites I have visited. I wish I had your site to use when I was fielding my Epic Dark Angels army which was sold quite a few years ago.
I visit regularly and have used a couple of the modelling tips and plan to use more in the near future.
Thanks once again for such a interesting site.
Regards

I must just say that I have just found your site and was very impressed. Being a Dark Eldar player I will now be using it to better understand the D.A. and how they fight (know thy enemy!).Keep up the good work

Let me just take the time to say thank you!  Your site is amazing!  I have only been playing the game here state side since 1999, and I have been searching for the right army to play.  When I found the Dark Angels my decision was made. Since then I have become extremely dedicated to the Sons of the Lion, and have been on a constant quest for the perfect Dark Angels site to find tactics, background, pictures and everything Dark Angels.  When I came across your site I was so impressed not only with the time and effort put in to it, but the rich detail and story you've included, I bookmarked it right away.  You have done an incredible job staying true to the Emperor's finest chapter and including everything I love about 40k to your site.  Thank you so much for the best Dark Angels site I have ever seen.  I look forward to what you have planed for the site and I will continue to enjoy and take in as much information as I can.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Battle Brother Adam

Your site is excellent.

It's only my second visit and I am pleased to see such depth.

My space marines of the crimson fist chapter have been fighting since before GW came up with the Heresy, but were rapidly involved. I still have fond memories of those first box sets, RT00001.

As I write this I looked over to the bookself to see my battered but original copy of Warhammer 40.000 rogue trader background and rules.

Your site represents the spirit of that original work.

I must admit you have the best web site about the dark angles on the web.  Heck it puts forgeworld and even games workshop to shame.  I know what you mean about trying to make the point cost fare because I have been trying to design my own special charter for a campaign my friend I are having.  What do you think about my plasma cannon idea for deathwing?  I mean if the normal tactical squads can have them shouldn't the terminators too?  oh as for my specail charter when i finish him i'll email him to you and you can tell me what you think.  so email me back and tell me what you think of my deathwing idea.

I'm very impressed with your site. I was searching the Warp for such place for a long time. And finally I have found it.
I have to ask you about e-mail to man, who made a picture of our mighty Fortess-Monastery. I'm going to ask him, if he has a large version of this picture (for a desktop wallpaper).I have read some stories from your site and I was trying to save them to my computer. But this doesn't working - my web browser is not reading them anymore. Have you tinkered something with that? Some kind protection of writers' IP?

Repent! For tomorrow you will DIE!!!!

Well thanks for the e-mail. There aren't many webmasters out there that will take the time to e-mail some one for posting comments on a guest book or message board.

Again big thanks. I can say that from the reading I have read on your page (and still have more) I'm planning on starting a Dark Angels army too. That will give me two armies to choose from the Blood Angels or Dark Angels. I would like to know if you can add a link to my page on your site if it's cool with your???

I was looking at your dark angles web site. It's very informative. I saw what you had posted about character upgrades for the master of the Ravenwing command squad. Are these house rules, or are they official rules? Last I read character upgrades weren't available to land speeder squadrons. i have converted a techmarine on a bike, a librarian on a bike, and a standard bearer on a bike. I like doing the conversions. Drop me a line sometime.

Hi, your site is great, possibly the best when it comes for information about Dark Angels. Please update it with the profiles of Azrael, Ezekiel, and maybe some pictures, particularly of the "Angel of Death".
Thanks,
Nicolas

I saw your site, and all I have to say is wow! Your site is really inspiring, espesially the character conversion section. Have you ever entered your models in the golden daemon competition? You should, they're really really good. I'm running down to get some green stuff and some minis to model a bit myself!

Thank you for making this site. It's really awesome. There, I said it!

Hello there,

I was referred to your page by someone on the GW communities' boards. I love the work you have done, and will really enjoy using it as a reference; but I was curious since you claim that the page is not official, if all the rules are correct. The reason I ask is because I am getting ready to field a Death Wing army for next Games Day and need to know if Inner Circle characters can be used in the army. You claim they can, are you absolutely sure? Since they can't wear terminator armor I have been scouring for rules but cannot seem to get any solid answers.

John Carswell, 8 September, 2003

Hi!
I love your site!  I think it's really great to see such an amazing array of fluff, tactics, and armies all in one place.  Keep up the good work! I have a question about submissions, for the Army gallery. Do you want a Word Document describing the army with 'tabs' to insert accompanying pix?  How did the other DA Generals submit their armies?
Any hints or protocol is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
John Carswell

I suppose you get them all the time, but man, it's a great site. I loved the "...on the knees" convertion. Beggining it soon;) Keep up the good work
