MAIL BAG E-MAIL COMMENTS

Creating and maintaining this website is indeed a tedious if not enjoyable task. I have passionately involved myself in every section of this web site and hope that passion and dedication shows in the end product. Apart from the sheer enjoyment of creating something new with a personal touch, one of the most rewarding features is the feedback some of the hobbyists and gamers send me. Some of these come in the way of comments in the guest book, while others are emailed to me directly.

I am most grateful to those who have showered words of encouragements in difficult times and I appreciate the kindness shown in most emails. Gathered here within this section are the accumulated words of encouragement and kindness that the Fortrress of the Unforgiven has received from visiting battle brothers. While all such feedback comments are immensely appreciated I particularly treasure the comment from a few special people such as close friends and those involved in the Games Development. Such emails, that are of special significance to me are highlighted with a miniature version of the
Shield of Appreciation
medal.

As a fellow space marine player (don't know if you play) I just wanted to congratulate you on an amazing project... your image of "The Rock" fits mine almost exactly.. So thank you for bringing it to life :) Do you mind if I "steal" some of the pics for personal use only?

regards
Morten

amazing work altogether.. This site is now added to my favorites

So yea hey what's up?  I'm not sure who I'm emailing from this site, but I'm starting a new Dark Angels army and I really think the site is great. It swayed me to start Dark Angels instead of the blood angels and kept me from smelling like cheese.  But yea....I have this really cool figure I want to try to turn into a Dark Angels character and wanted to know if I could substitute it in as a
dreadnaught? Not sure how that works yet. I've only played with my friend's Black Templars and started painting my army.  Thanks again

With this site, amazed and bemused at the huge amount of work that has gone into this. I have never found so much wonderful information on Imperial Space Marines anywhere on the Internet. You have outdone Games Workshop by a league or more. I cannot read enough or see enough pictures about the First Company Deathwing Terminators of the Dark Angels. The whole story of the Fallen has simply mezmerised me. You have done a simply incredible job with what has to be one of the coolest hobbies (passions) on earth. Warhammer 40k is a world that is impossible to resist, with all of the vibrancy of the human experience and the eternal battles between good and evil. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful work of the heart with the rest of us mortals who can only dream of standing at the side of Grandmaster Gabriel through centuries of strife against the forces of Heresy amid the never ending search for the Fallen.

Dear Gabriel Lionheart,
You have done a great job with the Fortress of unforgiven. I appreciate too much this great web site for our glorious chapter. I would like to contribute to your project. I'm from Granada (Spain), and I started my Dark Angel army six years ago. Now I ended my complete company. There are over 100 space marines (with the fifth company colours), some vehicles, 30 terminators and a little Ravenwing Escuadron. I'm not sure how to present this army (or a detachment only) for the collection of the Fortress. What kind of information, photos and army list must i send you?
Sorry, but my English is poor yet. Many thanks for your words.
Sincerely,
Brother Boldo Kalabera

Dear Shadow guard,
First of all, I love your site. When I was thinking up this army I would visit your site almost everyday looking for information on tactics, painting, and background. It is by far the best DA site out there, and I would be honored to have my pics posted on it. This deathwing force is the army I plan to run in next years Baltimore GT. Last year I had an all kroot force that won best painted.  So far I have everything put together, and I am slowly painting it all. I have only finished the command squad, one cyclone missile squad, and a crusader. I have yet to take pics of the cyclone squad. I am not sure if you want  to post what I have now or wait till I am done (which may be awhile). In addition, I am not sure if you or your members would find this interesting, but I could write up some articles chronically the whole GT process. Maybe include how I did some of the conversions and modeling, painting, and eventually a battle report chronicling the GT experience. If this would be too much, I understand. Just let me know what you would like.

I just happened to stumble on your site and must say it is very very good.  I am enjoying your pictures of Gamesday and hope to explore the rest when I have a chance. I am not an Imperialist nor do I play 40K but am beginning to paint.  Thanks for all your efforts.

Sincerely,
Greg Gherman

Hey Shadow Guard,

I'm a member of the bolter and chainsword forum though probably not as veteran as you, You probably know me as Axelonius. Most of the stuff I have learned about the Dark Angels I have learned from your site. I know you hear this all the time but your site is great. I was wondering if i could post some Fiction on it. And once I have your permission how can I go about getting it to you?

Thanks
Once again great site.

Bill Dufton, 26 December 2003.

Happy Holidays,

Love the web site - the reason for my interest in contacting you is two fold - one to make you aware of my similar love of DA but also to possibly ask your assistance of several things: I am attempting to create the entire chapter.  More than 1/2 already in various stages and have 3 painters part-time assisting myself in it's completion.  I'm having difficulties with how it should actually be done...so to speak.

1.)  Should the heroes have a DW command squad aswell?  Or would that only be for force composition and battles.
2.)  What about techmarines?
3.)  Does the composition seem decent? or should it be 20 x 10 termies / 10 dreadnoughts / 20 land raiders?

I think you see where I am leading...certainly I can be creative and just have all sorts of things, but I just wanted to ask an expert in it's familiarity. Please feel free to contact me via this format or even on my cellular.I'm in No. CA and am looking to have someone to exchange ideas and discussions with.

Warm Regards,

Bill

The Shadow Guard,

I would just like to send a personal thankyou for the Fortress. It is truely one of the most amazing 40K sites on the net.  You have done so much for this hobby and our chapter.  Your site inspired me to re-write my fluff and actually PAINT my army. *Laugh* Because of you I'm not just playing Cookie Cutter DA.

Thanks from a fellow Grand Master
