Scenario IV: HOLD THE LINE
The first assault on Koth Ridge 4056997.M41
By ( Shadow Guard )

Ork Warboss's  Briefing:

Your forces must breakthrough to Ghazhkull at any cost. There are no scenario restrictions on the army list except that the ork forces must be led by a mega-armoured nob. This could be the special character Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub.

Scenario Overview:

Although the news of large ork forces gathering east of Koth Ridge caught Master Belial by surprise, he reacted with the customary speed and efficiency that Space Marine commanders were reknown for. The ork forces which pursued the rag-tag remnants of the space marine scout forces were easily put to flight by the imperial forces entrenched on Koth ridge. But soon, Nazdreg, leading the main ork forces from the front in typical orky fashion, commenced the assault on Koth ridge to breakthrough to Kadillus harbour. Master Belial reacted by sending holding forces to strengthen imperial defences and began the delicate task of extricating his forces which were engaged in combat in Kadillus to further reinforce the koth ridge.
Scenario Special Rules:
Infiltrators, Reserves, Deep Strike, Force Restriction and Victory Points

Set Up:

1. Each player rolls a D6 and the winner chooses a long table edge.
2. The Dark Angel player deploys his holding forces, no closer than 36" from the ork board edge.
3. Ork player gets first turn.
4. All the ork forces enter play on turn 1 from anywhere along their board edge.
5. Dark Angel relief force comes in from their deployment zone according to the reserves rules.
Dark Angels Briefing:

The Dark Angel force is divided in to two equal halves. The holding force may consist only of troop choices, HQs and Elites. These may deploy anywhere on the board that is atleast 36" away from the ork board edge. They are considered to have had time to dig-in, and therfore get a 5+ Invulnerable cover save regardless of where they are placed, until they move. The relief force may consist only of FA choices, Vehicles and Troops or HQs which are mounted on vehicles.

Scenario Special Rule: Force Restriction:

The Dark Angels forces may not contain more than one unit of Deathwing or 2 units of ravenwing attached to them They may also not take Landraiders of any descriptions as these would not be deployed on a routine recruitment mission.

The Ork forces are hamstrung by the inability to deploy their heavy weaponry from the Scylla to Piscina IV due to the restrictions of the teleporter technology. Hence they may not take any Battlewagons or Looted vehicles
