Legio Infitialis Venia The Dark Angel legion was the oldest of the space marine legions. It was the only legion to have the honour of being the emperor's personal bodyguard during the Great Crusade. After the Horus Heresy the legions were reorganized in to smaller chapters. Those arising from the Dark Angels legion and their subsequent geneseed were collectively known as the Unforgiven.
