Strike Force Hammerblow Master Shazael has led a small strike team of entirely mechanized Deathwing force for nearly two centuries. Ever since their original action in the wasteworld of Denatus VIII, where they were deployed in their three land raiders to smash through the concentric fortifications of rebel imperial guardsmen the force has always deployed in their land raiders. It is a testament to the skills of Master Shazael that each and every member of that original task force remains active to date, two centuries later. Deviating from tradition the strike force retains the name of the operation that vaulted it to fame within the chapter, Operation Hammerblow. While imperial scribes note with accolade the achievements of this force in smashing the defences of the rebel forces within hours and effecting a break through, only those of the Inner Circle can silently laud Shazael for his capture of one of the Fallen brethren. |
Command Squad Shazael Command squad Shazael consists of dedicated veterans armed with lightning claws. His command squad is always joined by Reclusiarch Habanesh, a dear friend and Shazael's spiritual guide. Pouring forth from their land raider the force of this squad is able to smash asunder almost anything the enemies of the emperor may put in their path. |
Deathwing Squad Vide Veteran sergeant Vide was picked out by Shazael himself when the strke force was first formed. Vide had an uncanny ability to study the terrain and predict the movement of enemy war machines and vehicles. With this unique insight, he was able to hold the breach in the enemy lines on Denatus VII with ease, deploying cyclone missile batteries just in time to annihilate enemy armour. He has since joined Shazaels special strike force and has retained command of his original squad. Electing to carry two cyclone launchers in to battle, Squad Vide has built up a huge amount of battlefield experience in combating enemy warmachines and tanks, not to mention a massive tally of battlefield kills. |
