How to sculpt robes on Space Marines:
Step 1 - Preparation: As promised, this is a modeling tutorial, showing an easy way to create tabards and robes, thus giving you the opportunity to create that special Medieval / Gothic / Crusader appearance! Thes steps will allow you to create robes and tabards for those marine chapters that wear them regularl, namely the Dark Angels and their unforgiven successors and the Black Templars.

The following tools and bitz are needed:

-Sculpting tool (GW's is perfect).
-Greenstuff.
-Plastic Space Marine.
-Super glue.
-In this case...A Dark Angel Robed Veteran.
Step 2 - First make a sheet of GS about 1cm wide and about 1mm thick, length is not important. MODELING TIP! Applying water or saliva(!) to the GS makes it less sticky and easier to work with, simply lick the GS or the sculpting tool.
Step 4 - Put small drop of superglue on the legs and place your tabard / tunic. A bit of stretching can be aplied to lengthen it to the required height.
Step 5 - Next place the upper torso onto the legs. You are now halfway!

Step 7 - Final Product: Thats it, your robe / tabard / tunic is now done. The next step is adding purity seals and other items. Here are a few finished results, that were created using the above steps, imagination and a bit of practice

Step 3 - Press the strip onto the Veteran model, making sure that you get the vertical folds in his cloak, then pull the strip of and turn the strip around, this is the front of the robe / tabard / tunic.
Step 7 -
With the tool make a few "cuts" as to where the fold of the tabard/tunic would be. Then using your tool, sculpt the "cuts", so that they resemble small terraces.
Step 6 - Apply a small roll of GS to the torso and fill out the torso front so that it is completely covered in GS.
