And after the battle....As he strode through the carnage back towards his battle lines, Chaplain Quintus made a mental note to recommend any of surviving Scouts for immediate promotion to full Battle Brother. They had performed exceptionally well in the face of a fearsome foe, almost singlehandedly stopping both assault thrusts by the enemy. The loss of the Scouts, Ravenwing element and the 5th Tactical Squad were unfortunate, but still very light considering the strength of the foe.  Holding an uncontested battlefield was another boon, as it allowed the Apothecaries immediate access to the fallen. Of the fallen Marines, half would probably live to fight another day, and 100% of the Gene Seed would be salvaged. The same could not be said of the Sisters and the Inquisitor. There were no survivors.

Quintus later led a combined force of Dark Angel and Ravenwing Marines in a series of running Battles in the Purging of the Carthusia System. This was where his affinity for managing and directing Ravenwing tactics was again noticed. In these battles Quintus acted without his ever-present Assault Squad, performing the role of battle field general, but still utilizing his Jump Pack to be able to apply his considerable combat prowess in the right place at the right time. On Taras Red his forces drove off Dark Eldar Raiders, Quintus himself striking the killing blow on the evil Xenos' Archeron. On Alketus, Quintus was again wounded, but his Battle Plan and keen use of his forces' mobility routed the traitor marines from the field. Early in his career it was noted Quintus had an affinity for lightning strikes and flanking maneuvers utilizing the speed and mobility of the Assault Squads. When he demonstrated a high degree of inspiration and success maneuvering the Ravenwing element under his command, Quintus was short listed for a transfer. When the previous Chaplain of the Ravenwing fell in battle, Interrogator-Chaplain Quintus was promoted into the vacancy.

SANCTUM OF HEROES
CHAPLAIN QUINTUS
Dark Angels Chapter
By Doug Millar (ODM)
Origin: Quintus was born on the feral world of Slathe. He was first among the 3 initiates finally chosen during the blood trials, but was not initially selected as a Chaplain candidate.

Armoury: Quintus generally fights with his Crozius, Rosarius and a bolt pistol. While serving in the 4th Company, Quintus almost exclusively led an Assault Squad, so a Jump Pack was part of his equipment. Since his transfer to the Ravenwing, a Bike has obviously been his mode of transport.

Current Position: Interrogator-Chaplain of the Ravenwing

Famous Achievements: Interrogator-Chaplain Quintus first distinguished himself as a Battle-Brother in the 7th Squad of the 4th Company, when taking over his Assault Squad after their Sergeant was killed in battle with Orks. His ability to rally the surviving marines and destroy the entire Ork command singled him out for his startling level of faith and determination, and Quintus was selected to receive tutelage under the Chapter's senior Chaplains. He returned to the 4th Company as their new spiritual leader after his predecessor fell in a space hulk boarding action.

Quintus was first seriously wounded battling Blood Angel marines that had succumbed to the black rage and fallen to Chaos. He led his Assault Squad into an even larger Death Company formation, destroying the enemy squad but almost dying in the process. Quintus was the only survivor on the day. The following excerpts were taken from vid recordings prior to one of the holding battles during the Amicus Cluster conflict during the Hunt for the Fallen Campaign.

From a low hilltop Chaplain Quintus surveyed the field ahead. It appeared the stakes had been raised again in whatever mission the Deathwing was embarked upon. His command had been tasked with blocking any approaching forces. Any forces at all. It was ironic that as the emissary of the Holy Emperor in the Dark Angels, Quintus should lead the battle against the most zealous of His servants, both the Ecclesiasty and the Inquisition. "So be it," thought Quintus. "Their fanaticism will be their undoing."
He opened the vox. "Stand firm men, for you are the First and Finest, Sons of the Lion and the Emperor. Let these deranged madmen and howling banshees batter themselves against your strength." The plan was simple, straight forward, and perfect for this foe. Make them break against a static fire base, then roll up the exposed flank with the speed of the Ravenwing. Qunitus himself would lead the Assault Squad when time for the killing blow came. Not a single foe would escape alive.
