Step one: Over a black undercoat, I started by painting on a thinned coat of Dark Angels green onto the hull with a large flat headed brush. It is important to get out all the ridges and smoothe the paint evenly. I later added a second coat over the first.

Step two: Once the hull was dry, I added a drybrush of Boltgun metal over all the metalic areas with a tank brush. It is important to get this done early, as its pretty messy

Step Three: The long and tedious part. With a fine detail brush, I began to highlight the edges of the armor with 50/50 scorpion/DA green. This is done roughly, and often requires later touch ups (As I plan to do)

Step five: All the armor areas are given an ink wash to darken their look. This consists of 5 parts dark green ink, 5 parts black ink, 3 parts water and a drop of liquid soap for better coverage.

Step six: The tank's view ports are base coated with Red Gore. The left side of the port and bottom are highlighted with Blood Red, then 50/50 Blood Red/Blazing Orange and then a final highlight. I applied two spots of white to the right corner to simulate reflection.

Step four: After the main work on the hull was complete, some free hand was done. I started by drawing the design on the tank with a pencil, and then painted in the design with Fortress Grey. Skull white is applied onto the top (not shown)
